Electrical Engineer / Technician required

Ceramicx Ireland designs and manufactures infrared heating elements and complete turnkey heating systems for industrial and commercial applications. The company is currently in a stage of significant growth and requires a further technical staff to add to its engineering and electronics team. The person we are recruiting for will be involved in the design of infrared heating systems as well as original equipment incorporating these systems. The responsibilities for the position of Electrical / Engineer Technician include:

  • Read, understand, design and draft Electrical schematics
  • Design and building of Electrical control panels for high-power applications.
  • Design and build control panels for OEM manufacturer.
  • Plant equipment maintenance and repair and provide technical support to all manufacturing departments.
  • Electrical wiring for new and existing control panels.
  • Will work as part of an engineering team providing solutions to companies worldwide as the company is 98% export to 65 Countries.
  • Defining electrical component and automated control requirements.
  • Uses applicable EN standards and directives to ensure that equipment is CE compliant
  • Scada programming, HMI Interface – Important
  • Time served electrical trades experience or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

The candidate ideally would have experience and knowledge in relation to the following:

  • Experience in Electrical area and\or Technician in Panel building/machine build/panel design and programming in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of automation and Panel building of control systems
  • Experience of PLC programming, SCADA programming, HMI Interface.
  • Experience of CAD or 3D software a significant advantage but training will be provided.
  • Flexibility and the application of positive attitude to the needs of the company as an entity.

The position based in Ballydehob, West Cork is initially for a 6 month trial period contract moving to a full time position and salary is negotiable.
