‘To everything a season’ they sometimes say, even though the intercontinental movement of this year’s Jet Stream is doing its very best to prove the opposite. 
However, here in Ireland we are now assured that summer and the good weather are finally on their way. Accordingly, we at Ceramicx are making preparations for the Family Hog Roast day. It is scheduled for Friday July 27th and is always a lively event. Anyone seeing Frank in action on the Bouncy Castle last year could have no doubt that Ceramicx knows how to throw a party. Also, in the early part of August, Ceramicx will maintain the tradition of its annual fortnightly summer shut down. This is good industrial practice. It allows us to rest the plant and facilities; to undertake a number of reviews and inventories and to also conduct a number of maintenance and equipment checks. Holiday time can be taken. The shut down also enables a free hand to engage in planning work for when September picks up. All of which entails a definite encouragement and hurry up to our valued Ceramicx customers. Our message is: ‘Place your orders now please’ - and certainly within the next seven working days in order to have any chance of them being fulfilled within the month of August. The Ceramicx kiln will be fired up once more in the third week of August and will then run straight up to Christmas and the New Year. Readers of the blog will know that our company fully embraces new and leading edge techniques in production, marketing and other business disciplines. From time to time it’s good to balance out this innovation with more traditional means of working. The summer shutdown is one such tradition and we are happy once again to be working with it.
